Platanorrema Canyon is the perfect introduction to the world of canyoning and one of the most enjoyable family-friendly activities in Pelion. Located on the western side of Pelion, overlooking the Pagasetic Gulf, it lies in an area that combines lush green landscapes, flowing waters, and beautiful nearby beaches.

The route combines easy hiking through dense forest, passages through points of natural interest, waterfall descents, river trekking through the canyon, and plenty of opportunities for fun and interaction with nature. With five waterfalls reaching up to 12 meters in height, Platanorrema offers just the right amount of adventure without requiring any previous experience, making it ideal for beginners, families, and children.

The approach to the canyon follows a beautiful trail alongside the river, beneath the shade of trees and through rich vegetation. The path then climbs gently uphill, offering wonderful views and a first introduction to the natural environment of the area.

The meeting point is the parking area in Koropi village, located along the main road. From there, we follow a paved rural road and, after approximately 2 kilometers and only 5 minutes of driving, we reach the starting point of the activity. Transportation with the company’s 9-seat van is also available.

At the starting point, each participant receives a personal backpack containing the necessary equipment. We then begin a pleasant 30-minute hike through the forest until we reach the entrance of the canyon. There, the group prepares for the activity, puts on the equipment, and receives a safety briefing and basic instruction on the techniques that will be used during the adventure.

From that point on, an exciting journey begins through water, rocks, small pools, and waterfalls in an environment that combines safety, fun, and spectacular scenery. The canyon is particularly suitable for younger participants and offers an unforgettable experience for anyone wishing to discover canyoning through an enjoyable and accessible route.

The activity concludes with a short 200-meter walk through the river until we reach the vehicles. Along the exit route, there are beautiful spots ideal for resting, taking a break, or enjoying a picnic, allowing you to spend a little more time appreciating the peace and beauty of the surroundings.

Platanorrema is more than just an activity. It is a complete experience of nature, exploration, and adventure that leaves both children and adults with the same smile at the end of the day.
