Samothraki Gyali canyon

The Gyali canyon is the legend of Samothrace. It is accessed by a 3.5-hour hike from a point where we go with 4X4 vehicles. The successive changes of this canyon make it special and give it a prestige! Its characteristics are slides, jumps, waterfalls with a lot of water, traverses, many supports and passages that require attention! The total number of waterfalls is 33 with the big off these 34 meters. The return from the beach is by boat. It is a route that will more than satisfy those involved in canyoning, while it is required to be in good physical condition due to its long duration.

Equipment you must have

• Two (2) pairs of shoes:
• Shoes for crossing the canyons with non-slip soles and ankle protection (not sandals). An extra spare pair would be good.

Bath towel, swimsuit, shorts or leggings, dry fit hiking shirt, hiking socks, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water.

Equipment provided by Hellas canyon:

Helmet and seat belt, neoprene suit, canyoning backpack, waterproof container.

Conditions

• The minimum age is 17 years old.
• Good physical and mental condition
• Normal body weight
• Comfort in swimming and at heights
• No prior use of alcohol or drugs
• Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
